The following exercise is a great way to help you think about how you interact with other people or unusual situations.
-A clear container
-A few pebbles
1. Fill the clear container with water.
2. Drop the pebbles in the water.
3. Watch how they sink: they sink easily, and mingle with the water instead of fighting against it.
4. As you watch the pebbles, breathe deeply and evenly. The pebbles become accustomed to the water almost immediately. They “go with the flow”. If we allow it, we can do the same thing: accomodate situations and accept them, instead of trying to “fix” them or go against them.
